Name a metal subgenre that it's not included in this song! It is my personal favorite and it turned out to be the mature reflection of the way i write and arrange riffs. From beginning to end the main influences are ''As I lay Dying'' style intro, ''Lamb of God'' style main verse, ''Corelia'' style pre-chorus, Periphery style (Jetpacks Was Yes-like) chorus rhythm and melodies and an extra riff which grooves the more IMO towards the outro which is a ''Haunted Shores'' style arrangement and playing style. This song was by far the most fun to write! Initially, I had two separate parts in my mind. The 1st was the intro as you here it now along with the main verse, (you can here the original at soundclick.com/don7v - my recordings & clips page - under the ENGL E570). The 2nd verse was revolutionary in the way I write. It started with the chorus rhythmic section where the 2 simple (but so groovy me) L+R double tracks chunk deliberately along with the kick drum creating a super-groove & melodic background feeling. And on top of them....the sauce! I basically used my RG7321 wEMG's 707 for all rhythmic part & my JEM7VWH for all clean/solos/overdubs/melodies etc. So it was JEM7V for the sauce where it includes a clean part, left tracked normal octave & right channel an octave higher; plus some ambient delay, to end up delivering the soul melody of the chorus, and a solo-sound part melody covered in disguise so that one can barely notice it when tried to, but when asked later to hum the chorus section then that one would be the melody that comes to mind first!
