Having an 8-string guitar for the first time meant actually that I mostly kept using it as a 6-string / 7-string, to which I'm more familiar with. This Project was all about focusing on writing strictly an 8-string song.

As the low F# is pretty....well...low already, I found it a little bit difficult to downtune my bass down these levels with the strings tension maintained. So, after downtuning, the strings were basically sounding like broken wires making the actual notes little to none audible. Well that! That texture, that texture of the bass strings grinding all around through the first part of the song came out to blend with the strandberg quite astonishingly I must say! Complementing, supporting and actually making the guitar and bass blend sound sounding like "1" and so solid! I'm amazed!

It came out great and I fell in love with this blend! It grinds! It just works!

Used my *strandberg Boden 8 on all parts / melodies / solos on this one, direct to my Axe-Fx II. Bass is my Ibanez SR605-NTF to the awesome Darkglass Electronics Microtubes B7K going to my interface.
