Even if I had set my mind for a 9-track LP, once I completed ''Egypt Signals'', I knew I was far from ready to release these tracks as an album. In fact, the thought just hadn't been planted good enough in my head just yet, and my mixing skills just weren't good enough yet. So, in the meantime I was jamming around a really cool percusive pattern that came in mind. It is of a 1-4-1-1 4 1 4-1-1 1-4-1 pattern type when stranging a single open string. And the main verse riff had just taken its form! I especially liked how the heavy low-A string part with the melody-phrase part fight each other for a place in the ''light'' and at the same time they both are in balance and create a really cool groove. As I was building and composed this track mid August 2011 I was keep tweaking my amp to find a more tight and with-character sound which came out to be a total success in how it sounded to me!! Every riff and every change in this song came out to flow smoothly, sounds massive and gives a majestic feeling. From my perspective, the phrasing of main verse/bridge/chorus riff recreates something like battle/prevail/victory as it is reflected in the name of this track. All in all, I couldn't see myself leaving this track out of the album, since in fact is my 2nd favorite.
